- NAID stands for: Name Address Identification Number, and is the standard identifier of agents and brokers who submit bids on behalf of prospective buyers. The NAID is issued by HUD.
- Real estate brokers must register with HUD to receive a NAID number. The same NAID number is used by all agents within the brokerage.
- The process takes several weeks to complete, and the NAID must be renewed annually.
- If a licensed real estate broker/agent is registered with HUD, they may show HUD properties and submit offers for buyers.
- NAID information is found under the NAID Application tab in HUDHomestore.com
